Each program can be tailored with a specific focus—whether it’s food-based or plant-focused, includes tastings or hands-on planting, or explores the historical journeys and wellness benefits of plants. Below are examples of the kinds of programs we can develop for you.

Flavors of the Spring

As New York awakens from icy winter, spring ushers in a burst of fresh, vibrant flavors. This engaging workshop celebrates the newly emerging first harvests of the year with a sensory journey exploring unique herbs, vegetables, and more. We’ll delve into history, fun facts, culinary uses of seasonal produce, and enjoy delightful tastings of the freshest seasonal flavors.

Microgreens: A History and Hands-On Activity*

Participants will learn about microgreens - what are they and what are their health benefits? They’ll learn the difference between microgreens and sprouts and about ways to grow them, including hydroponics and other methods. If requested, there will be a chance to sample a few different varieties. Optional add-on: each participant will receive a small, eco-friendly kit to take home to grow their own microgreens.

Leaves: The Power of Culinary Herbs

This interactive program will explore the history and uses of some common and some less common culinary herbs. Participants will learn about and engage with fresh and dried herbs. Optional activities can include experiencing herb propagation, transplanting an herbal plant to take home, and/or creating an herbal product to take home, such as herbal tea or salt.

Herbal and Culinary Flowers

This hands-on multi-sensory experience invites participants to engage with locally grown flowers. This program offers a fresh perspective on how we can connect with and appreciate the blossoms around us. Optional activities can include making a soothing herbal sachet or herbal tea blend to take home.

Apples of New York

Learn about the history of apples and their role in New York. We’ll explore, where are apples from, what is the history of some of the reliable classics, how are new varieties developed, and what are some of the new apple trends? (Tastings of a variety of apples can be included in this program.)

This is an example page. It’s different from a blog post because it will stay in one place and will show up in your site navigation (in most themes). Most people start with an About page that introduces them to potential site visitors. It might say something like this:

Hi there! I’m a bike messenger by day, aspiring actor by night, and this is my website. I live in Los Angeles, have a great dog named Jack, and I like piña coladas. (And gettin’ caught in the rain.)

…or something like this:

The XYZ Doohickey Company was founded in 1971, and has been providing quality doohickeys to the public ever since. Located in Gotham City, XYZ employs over 2,000 people and does all kinds of awesome things for the Gotham community.
